If English language proof is required, check the university admissions page rather than the scholarship page. Many accept a Medium of Instruction letter from your school if your degree was taught in English, and it is almost never mentioned where you would look for it.

Ask your registrar for documents early. Mine took five weeks and I nearly missed a deadline over a piece of paper.

Give your referees the deadline and a short note on what you are applying for. A referee writing blind produces a generic letter, and a generic letter is close to no letter.
