What do you do when farmers do not want the improved seed?
The yields are better in trials. Uptake is about 15 percent. I think we have been answering a question nobody asked.

Who maintains the pump after the project ends?
Every handover plan I have read says the community will. Every broken pump I have seen was handed over to a community.

A seed bank run by the farmers who use it
Eleven villages, one storage building, and a committee that decides the rules rather than us. Stage is early. The building is up. The governance is the part we are still working out, and it is much harder than the construction was.
